How It Works
Jibu Markets lets you trade on the outcome of real-world events. Predict correctly and earn real returns.
Find a Market
Browse markets on topics you care about — politics, sports, tech, world events. Each market asks a question about a future outcome.
Make Your Prediction
Buy "Yes" shares if you think the outcome will happen, or "No" shares if you think it won't. Prices reflect the market's estimated probability.
Watch & Trade
As new information comes in, prices change. You can sell your shares at any time for a profit or to cut your losses.
Get Paid
When the event resolves, winning shares pay out $1 each. If you bought at 60¢ and the outcome happens, you earn 40¢ per share.
Example Trade
Market: “Will Kenya win the next AFCON?”
Current price: Yes at 30¢ (30% probability)
You buy 100 “Yes” shares at 30¢ each
Total cost: $30.00
Kenya wins! Market resolves “Yes”
Your 100 shares pay out $1 each = $100.00
Frequently Asked Questions
What do the percentages mean?
The percentage shown on a market represents the market's current estimate of the probability. A market at 70% means traders collectively believe there's a 70% chance the outcome will happen. Shares for "Yes" cost 70¢ each.
How are prices determined?
Prices are determined by supply and demand. When more people buy Yes shares, the price goes up. When more people buy No shares, the price goes down. Jibu uses automated market makers (LMSR) and order books (CLOB) to ensure smooth trading.
What happens when a market resolves?
Each market has clear resolution criteria. When the event occurs (or doesn't), the market resolves. Winning shares pay out $1 each, losing shares pay $0. For example, if you held 100 "Yes" shares and the event happened, you'd receive $100.
Can I sell before the market resolves?
Yes! You can sell your shares at any time at the current market price. This means you can take profits early or cut your losses without waiting for the event to happen.
What are the fees?
Jibu charges a small trading fee on each transaction. There are no fees for depositing or withdrawing funds. Fee details are shown before you confirm any trade.
Safe & Transparent
All markets have clear resolution criteria. Prices are determined transparently by market mechanics. Your funds are held securely.
